October Meeting, Christmas Dinner, Nominations and more!
Hope you can make it out to our October meeting this Saturday, the 17th at the Optimist Club from 8-10AM! We’re going to have a lot to discuss!
It’s time to start looking ahead to next year. The first task is to nominate, and elect, officers for 2010. The positions to be elected for 2010 are:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Resource
- Director Newsletter Editor/Publisher
I am asking for your nominations by November 21, 2009, our club meeting date. You may make nominations by reading our October newsletter for the appropriate contact information. Additionally, you can make nominations at the October 17, 2009, or the November 21, 2009, club meetings. We will vote at the November meeting to elect the officers.
Now the good stuff – the club will be presenting a cap and shirt to each current club member. The shirts will be golf style (with collar) and the caps will be baseball style. The items will have our club logo and the shirts will have the members name embroidered. We will provide the same items to all new club members during 2010. Additionally, the current officers will be presented a casual medium weight jacket with their name, position, and various logos. Any officer elected for 2010, not previously presented a jacket, will receive one. Please contact one of the above officers and let them know your shirt size as soon as possible. All of the above items will be offered for sale, to club members only, at cost. We will have the cost and publish it to you very soon.
This years Christmas Party will be held at the OLD Greenbrier Restaurant starting at 6:00 pm on December 19, 2009. Mark your calendars!
